Think of pollen as botanical gossip and pollinators as the posties who make sure the message gets delivered, only with wings and far better punctuality. The session explains how different insects are tempted by different flowers and why some plants are pickier about their visitors than others.

There will be a look at common UK pollinators and why your dinner sometimes owes a favour to a busy bee. Practical tips are included on easy ways to make your garden friendlier to these tiny helpers. The format mixes relaxed chat with a hands on planting activity, where children pot up their own pollinator friendly container to take home.
